November 24, 2018 marked another milestone for HAMBURG Trading Corp as we officially introduced KESSLER’S through its first ever “The Bakers’ Canvas,” the brand’s signature event for baking entrepreneurs and enthusiasts. It was held at All About Baking’s branch in EDSA Shangri-La, together with Chef Julianne Bernardo, Ms. Tina Concepcion Diaz, and Mr. Jar Concengco for an afternoon of fun learning on baking, food styling, and food photography.
The event started at one in the afternoon with a short introduction from All About Baking’s very own Klyne Gorospe; followed by HAMBURG Trading Corp’s VP for Marketing and PR, Gianna Kessler von Sprengeisen. She explained how KESSLER’S, a new premier brand of baking ingredients, came to reality.
For the first part of the main event, Chef Julianne Bernardo, Chef and Owner of J.Cuppacakes, did a baking demonstration. She showed the attendees how KESSLER’S Alkalized Cocoa Powder can be a perfect match in making an exceptional dark chocolate cheesecake, ooey gooey brownies, and classic chocolate satin cupcakes that they can easily whip up if they want to prepare something sweet.
The second part of the event was a back-to-back food styling and food photography seminar to help the attendees make their end-product more appealing and more “Instagram-worthy.”
Food stylist, writer, and recipe developer, Tina Conception Diaz, started the second part of the program by sharing few tips and tricks when it comes to food styling and placements of items for a better food presentation. Mr. Jar Concengco, a professional photographer, awed the audience on how a good photograph can affect people’s perception on food. He highlighted the appropriate lighting and opportune angles and perspectives when taking photos. They both also showed what takes place behind the scene when doing a food photo shoot.
A number of participants including bloggers, bakers, and food enthusiasts actively took part in the event. Fun and excitement spiced up the day when they enjoyed a break to have a taste of KESSLER’S Alkalized Cocoa Powder through Chef Julianne’s work as well as Ms. Tina Diaz’s very own baked products. They were also encouraged to roam around All About Baking’s store and see the baking goods they thought aren’t available in the country.
A little surprise Instagram game was also announced in the middle of the demo, which gave a chance for the attendees to take home a 500g pack of KESSLER’s Alkalized Cocoa Powder.
As a token of appreciation, attendees received a tote bag, containing baking tools from All About Baking, other baking ingredients from KESSLER’S, and a copy of the recipes from Chef Julianne Bernardo.
KESSLERS’ Cocoa can now be purchased in any of All About Baking stores nationwide.
More About The Bakers’ Canvas
Just like how a painter gives life to a blank canvas, a baker’s work of art starts with the passion to strive for perfection. Every ingredient is meticulously selected; every whip, whisk, fold, or drizzle is accurately calculated – all to bring out the best pastry ever made. So, as we introduced KESSLER’S to you, we also brought in a canvas to express and relive your passion.
Because a blank canvas is not an empty space. It is an opportunity for you turn ideas to innovations, passion to success, and stories to legacies.
We provide the ingredients, we provide the canvas – it’s time to perfect your masterpiece.
Taking apart from the traditional baking demos, The Bakers’ Canvas is a series of baking demos with mini interdisciplinary seminars, initiated by KESSLER’S, the country’s new premier brand of baking ingredients.
Rooting from the overall philosophy of KESSLER’S, The Bakers’ Canvas partners up with baking depots and organizations all over the country in reaching out to bakers and pastry chefs to perfect their work of art, not just in terms of baking methods and techniques, but also in other topics that compliment it.
